The words land wherever your cursor was — an email, a document, a browser box, a chat window. You do not open RRwrite first and you do not paste anything afterwards.

Windows will warn you about this file. RRwrite is not code-signed yet, so Windows shows a blue “Windows protected your PC†screen for a program it has not seen before. Choose More info, then Run anyway. If you would rather check the file first, its SHA-256 is below.
The speech model is inside the download, so RRwrite does not send your voice anywhere and does not need an internet connection to work. There are no accounts, no telemetry and no crash reporting.
There is an optional history-and-phone feature you can switch on later. Until you switch it on, RRwrite makes no network connection at all.
Speech comes out messy. RRwrite tidies the false starts and the ums, and it can pick up a correction you made out loud — say “four o’clock, no, five†and you get five. How much tidying it does is a setting, from every word exactly as spoken to something you could paste straight into an email.
It only ever takes words out. It does not add anything you did not say.
An unusual surname or a brand it has never met will come out wrong the first time. Add it once to the dictionary and it stays right.
One file. Double-click it, agree to the licence, and choose whether you want a desktop shortcut and whether it should start when you sign in. It installs for your account only, so it never asks for an administrator password.
It then sits in the system tray. Hold Ctrl + Alt + Space and talk. You can change that to whatever you like.
